Dive deep into the roots of Palestine, tracing the production that has survived since the times of the Canaanites. Leather production has been thriving over the centuries, especially through the timeless craftsmanship of Al-Khalil. The leather production process in Al-Khalil has traditionally employed manual techniques, including tanning, dyeing, and handcrafting. Traditional tanneries in Al-Khalil utilize natural materials, such as oak bark and sumac, in the tanning process, which lends the leather its distinctive quality and durability.

The Masari Leather Wallet, handmade in Palestine from 100% full-grain leather, is a symphony of tradition and modernity, blending the richness of heritage with contemporary needs. Let this wallet be your daily companion, a reminder of the beauty of Al-Khalil’s craft. Feel the pride of carrying a piece of Palestine, a symbol of solidarity and cultural appreciation. With every use, you uphold a tradition, celebrate a heritage, and support a future where artistry and culture continue to flourish.

Welcome to Sumud Stories – where each product we create is a celebration of collaboration, craftsmanship, and resilience. Our journey starts in Palestine, a land known for its deep historical roots and a culture rich with diverse artisanal practices. Here, we work closely with local artisans, combining their traditional techniques with innovative designs to craft pieces that narrate the rich artisanal industry of Palestine and its people.

“Sumud” means steadfastness in Arabic, reflecting our commitment to endure and thrive despite challenges. This ethos is woven into every aspect of our work, guiding our artisans as they produce items that are not only culturally significant but also of the highest quality.

We are a collective of Palestinian artisans, each contributing their unique story of resilience and creativity to the products they make. Shipping & Delivery Times

All orders are prepared and dispatched from our warehouses in Portugal and the USA.

During restocks or high-demand periods, we may need 1 to 3 weeks to dispatch your order , depending on the size of the restock and the number of orders being prepared.

Once your order has been dispatched, the estimated delivery time is:

  • European Union and USA: 3 to 5 working days
  • All other countries: 7 to 21 working days

Please note that these are estimated delivery times after dispatch. In rare cases, postal services or customs procedures may cause delays, and delivery may take up to 30 to 45 working days after dispatch.

For orders shipped outside the European Union, your parcel may be stopped by customs in the destination country. If this happens, the local customs office or postal service may contact you to request additional information, a declaration, or payment of local taxes, duties, or handling fees.

These charges are not included in our prices or shipping fees and are the responsibility of the receiver. Please follow the tracking updates carefully and respond to any request from your local customs or postal service as soon as possible , to avoid delays or the parcel being returned.

Tracking

Once your order is shipped, you'll receive:

  • A tracking number by email
  • A separate email with your invoice, which may be required for customs clearance outside the EU

We ship by registered international mail from Portugal via CTT (Portugal’s postal service). Your 13-character tracking number can be used to track your parcel on the CTT website and, thanks to international postal agreements, in most countries you can also use the same tracking number on your local postal service’s website.

Due to high demand and limited supply, each order is limited to one kufiya.

This helps ensure more people have the opportunity to own a Hirbawi® Kufiya.

Thank you for your understanding.
