After many requests, we’re excited to introduce the 99 Bead version of our Olive Wood Oasis Prayer Beads. Hand-made from the finest Jerusalem-Bethlehem Olive Wood by skilled Palestinian artisans. These Misbaha Prayer Beads (known as “Misbaha” or “Masbaha”, مِسْبَحَة) embody timeless beauty and profound significance. Consisting of 99 rounded olive wood spheres, this version of the Misbaha holds special importance for Muslims in particular, representing the 99 names of God (اللّٰه‎).

Beyond their spiritual value, Palestinians use these prayer beads daily for meditation, stress release, and in the lively Dabke (Dabka) dance during joyous weddings and festive occasions. Every Prayer Bead Misbaha is unique, handmade by numerous small workshops, and renowned across Palestine; Olive Wood Prayer Beads combine the sacredness of the olive tree and a celebratory dimension of Palestinian culture.

The purchase of these prayer beads supports local Palestinian farmers who harvest and trim the trees, and the families who own and take care of the land as well as the artisans and workshops who craft the prayer beads. Olive trees are not cut for their wood due to their sacredness within the Palestinian community. Instead, off-cuts from the annual pruning and trimming are used to produce the handicrafts. The olive wood is known for its distinctive quality, durability and is naturally antimicrobial.

The olive tree is deeply rooted in Palestinian culture. The light of the olive oil lamp is traditionally a symbol of God who is the light of the world; the olive tree is considered the blessed tree and its branches are a symbol of peace. The importance of the olive tree is best described by Mahmoud Darwish, Palestine’s most renowned poet, when referring to the political reality "If the olive trees knew the hands that planted them, their oil would become tears." Throughout generations, Palestinians have used almost every aspect of that tree: from olives to olive oil, to olive oil soap, and to olive wood handicraft. Not a drop or branch of the tree is wasted, and so many Palestinian families live off its blessings.

Shipping Costs

All our products are made in Palestine and shipped to our fulfillment center in Portugal. From there, each order is dispatched by registered mail with a tracking number, and final delivery is handled by the local postal service in your country.

For orders outside the EU, customs duties are uncommon but may apply depending on the local laws of the destination country. If they do, it is the customer’s responsibility to handle any related procedures or payments.

If you are located in Palestine or the occupied Palestinian territories, please contact us before placing an order. We deliver locally using a transport company, and payment can be made upon delivery.


Shipping Times

You will receive a shipping notification once your order leaves our fulfillment center in Portugal.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • Within the EU: 2–5 business days
  • UK & Ireland: Up to 10 business days
  • USA: Up to 15 business days
  • Other countries: Up to 30 business days

Please note: Following a major restock, our fulfillment center may need up to two weeks to dispatch all pending orders.

 

Tracking

Once your order is shipped, you'll receive:

  • A tracking number by email
  • A separate email with your invoice, which may be required for customs clearance outside the EU

We ship by registered international mail from Portugal via CTT (Portugal’s postal service). Your 13-character tracking number can be used to track your parcel on the CTT website and, thanks to international postal agreements, in most countries you can also use the same tracking number on your local postal service’s website. 

 

 

Due to high demand and limited supply, each order is limited to one kufiya.
